Why should you care about lettering? First, learning can provide you with an outlet to help relieve stress. Several studies that you can find prove that increasing your creative activities can help reduce stress and actually promote a better quality of life. And what better creative skill to learn than lettering? I’m just saying (nudge nudge know what I mean ;)
Lettering produces beautiful and unique works of art. It gives originality and an authentic touch to everyday words and phrases. In society we‘re bombarded with perfection, I personally think it would be refreshing to see more authentic and imperfect creations.

Lettering helps build your confidence. Follow me here. Learning lettering has plenty of ups and downs. Some days you love your work and other days you want to hide it. But going on this journey and making yourself vulnerable by sharing your work builds your courage. You discover that it’s ok to be a beginner, everyone has to start somewhere, and it’s ok to have work that you don’t drool over ....yet. You learn to take pride in your work.

You can also use lettering to generate a side income. Whether you create lettered posters, wall art, create wedding invitations, or even teach others to letter you can bring in some extra income. Who doesn’t like EXTRA money?! Comment below if you or someone you know could use a few extra bucks :)

The take home? You should look into incorporating more creative activities in your day, even if it’s not lettering (although I think you should :P) The potential benefits are too good to ignore. Even if you just set aside 15 minutes a day to doing something creative that would be good. If you want to start your lettering journey click Here.
